The organization seeks to create a development pipeline to train a workforce prepared to advance and secure Utah’s deep technology sector

Salt Lake City, November 2, 2021 -- Strider Technologies, Inc. ("Strider"), the leading provider of Economic Statecraft IntelligenceTM, today announced a new partnership with the Intermountain Intelligence, Industry, and Security Consortium (I3SC) led by Utah State University’s Center for Anticipatory Intelligence (CAI) and Utah Valley University’s Center for National Security Studies (CNSS).

Strider, co-founded in 2019 by Utah State University Alumni Greg and Eric Levesque and headquartered in Salt Lake City, is the leading provider of proprietary data and software products to secure technology, talent, and supply chains against nation-state directed activities.

The I3SC is part of the debut cohort of the Utah State Legislature’s Deep Technology Talent Initiative (DTTI). The consortium will create a multifaceted academic pipeline program to produce workforce innovators with the cross-disciplinary skill sector meet the major security challenges to the Utah tech sector. Furthermore, The I3SC will ensure that Utah’s keystone industries, state, and local government are staffed and well equipped to anticipate and build resilience against the next generation of challenges.

As a partner, Strider will help develop curriculum to shape the future workforce, mentor and recruit the most talented students emerging from Utah institutions of higher education, and play an instrumental role in helping the I3SC succeed in its mission. Other industry partners include Adobe, AgilePQ, FireEye, Fortem Technologies, Northrop Grumman, and Space Dynamics Laboratory.

Additionally, in coordination with I3SC partners, Strider will:

  • Participate in two annual symposia convened by Utah State University’s CAI and Utah Valley State’s CNNS to directly shape the organization’s curriculum.
  • Contribute to speaker series, student mentorship, and course instruction to provide critical insight concerning next-generation challenges and opportunities within the industry.
  • Facilitate student work experience and opportunities through internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students participating within I3SC academic programs.
  • Collaborate with graduate and professional students in their research for capstone projects, provide active case studies of interest for the two I3SC student-driven industry intelligence laboratories, and host site visits for CAI and CNSS students at Strider facilities.
