Strider Technologies Launches “Strider Impact,” Empowering Academic Research on National Security
Salt Lake City (August 14, 2024) – Strider Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of strategic intelligence, today announced the launch of Strider Impact, a philanthropic partnership program with leading universities and research organizations to support the utilization of open-source intelligence and help develop the next generation of intelligence analysts.
To date, Strider Impact has partnered with Florida International University’s (FIU) Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy and Utah State University’s (USU) Center for Anticipatory Intelligence. Strider is providing data to support FIU’s research of the People’s Republic of China’s (PRC) activities in Latin America and the Caribbean. Additionally, Strider’s upcoming partnership with Utah State will equip the next generation of intelligence analysts with the skills to detect state-sponsored risks facing the United States and its allies.

A core part of Strider Impact is to deliver unique datasets and analytical resources based on the partner’s strategic research objectives at no cost. Additionally, Strider will share best practices for open-source intelligence research, data collection, analysis, and storage.

Initial Impact: Tracking PRC Activity in Latin America and the Caribbean with Florida International University
In one of the program’s first projects, Strider is providing data to power the Chinese Activities Dashboard launched by FlU’s Jack D. Gordon Institute of Public Policy. The dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of PRC investments and projects in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in sectors including mining, energy, space, and ports. Strider’s data identifies connections between private sector organizations and the PRC government and military.
